Currently in September

Well let’s give this Currently thing a try for the first time in months! I love Anne’s monthly link up and it was definitely one of the things I missed on my blogging hiatus. Anyway, here are some current happenings based on this month’s prompts.

~Currently I Am~

Appreciating – The help we get from my mom during the workday. We’re getting ready to start up distance learning again which means Teacher Grandma is in the hotseat again. I know not many folks are as lucky as we are to have this kind of help and support, so I most definitely do not take it for granted!

Anticipating – Change. There are some interesting, but good developments in our extended family that could lead to a potential huge change for us and our living situation. I’m not putting the cart before the horse, but the next year or so could get very interesting and exciting.

Collecting – Veggies from our garden and my parents’ garden. Our pepper plants have exploded which means Nate will be able to make some hot sauce again. Our tomatoes didn’t do great this year, but that’s OK, we’ve been borrowing from my dad’s plants that have done pretty well.

Starting – Schitt’s Creek on Netflix. Yes we are five years late to this party. We tried it a couple of years ago and just couldn’t get into it. I don’t know if it’s 2020 or what, but we got past the first few episodes and now we’re in love. We’re almost done with season one and I can say I finally get what everyone has been saying about this show.

Finishing – Untamed by Glennon Doyle. SUCH a great read. I am sure I’ll have more to share on it when I’m done, but it’s a fantastic book so far.

That’s the latest from here! We’re heading into my favorite season. In spite of everything going on in the world I plan to make the most of it!

  1. I’ve missed reading your currently posts!! I love Schitt’s Creek! Can’t wait to watch the series again on Netflix after I finish The Big Bang Theory! 😊

  2. I totally missed Schitt’s Creek when it was actually airing, but I started it this summer and I LOVE it. It’s a bit of an adjustment at first, but get past a few episodes and it’s sooo good. I’m glad you’re loving it too. I need to know when the last season will be on Netflix (is it yet??) because I only have a few more left in season five.

I really want to read Untamed, so I’m glad that you’re loving it. I saw her speak live and she was fantastic, as was her wife and the other women on the tour.

  3. Ooh I want to read Untamed, I’ve heard such great things! How wonderful that your mom is able to help out with Ollie, and I’m sure she is glad she can do it! I’m not sure how school will go for us–Jona is doing the distance thing 3 days a week while home with me–and I’ll be working. It might get interesting!

  4. Yes, grandparents have been CLUTCH lately – so lucky to have them close by here, and I’m glad your family is able to get the help you need for the online learning that way. Also ooooh you’re making me want to add peppers to Peter’s garden next year. I wouldn’t mind a surplus of those 😉 I often slice them and freeze them, which makes for super fast fajitas later.

  5. I love these posts and am so glad you are blogging again – I love Insta – but always fun to catch up on the blogs and see what everyone is up to.
Sounds like you’ve got interesting changes happening – hope all goes smoothly and you have a great September.
