Humpday Confessions

Humpday Confessions 4.15.20

What day is it? Do days even matter anymore? Well in case you didn’t know, it’s Wednesday. That means only one thing…it’s HUMPDAY! Therefore, it’s a good day for Humpday Confessions! Yes we are all in quarantine and not really doing much of anything, but we’re still human and that means we’re not perfect – gasp! So, today I’m sharing my sins for all to see. Join me?

I confess….

That it’s technically Tax Day but after we heard it was extended to July we kind of put ours off. For no good reason other than we are lazy.

That both Nate and Ollie have started playing Animal Crossing too now and we are all starting to fight over who gets the Nintendo Switch each day and for how long.

That I kind of like these Zoom meetups because it means I don’t have to leave my house and I can meet my friends in my jammies.

That I let Nate help me cut my hair. Just the sides and back. He actually did a really good job.

That I am doing my part to keep the economy going by online shopping. We won’t say how much I’ve done, but I’m definitely doing my part. And then some.

That 1:00 in the afternoon coffee and 3:00 snack breaks have become a regular thing. It needs to warm up so I can get walking again, yikes.

That after I wrote the post the other day about Internet shaming I decided to quit Twitter. I didn’t delete my account, but I did take the app off my phone. I feel so light after doing that!

That we’ve moved into the cleaning and purging phase of our quarantine which is not a bad thing but it’s a bad thing when you completely fill your garbage can the day after garbage pick up!

And that’s about it. Yeah, I know, not anything too terribly crazy here, but I am doing my best to keep it real in these crazy times! Hope you are all managing all right! If you have anything to confess, hit me up in the comments. Remember, we’re all friends here!

  1. I’m definitely helping the economy right now. I don’t even want to say how much I’ve ordered. 🙂 I’ve been doing busy work around the home. Like cleaning out things…right after trash day it seems. 🙂

  2. Aww I’ve so missed these!! And good on you helping to stimulate the economy. It’s funny—I very rarely shop for myself but I guess feeling cooped up and unable to hit up the stores has me dipping into my wallet a bit more? Bryan was happy because I told him I was feeling generous and to pick out a pair of shoes, my treat (granted they were all 40% off but it’s the thought that counts, right??).

Sometimes it’s good to back away from social media. I tend to do this around the election and it’s immensely liberating. Glad you feel lighter since removing the Twitter app from your phone!

Tomorrow is reorganize kitchen cabinet day. Over here just living the dream! Ha 🤣

  3. Weird—I just left a comment but looks like it disappeared!

Anyway, glad to see we’re doing our part to stimulate the economy. I swear I never buy things for myself but treated myself to DSW’s 40% off shoe sale. I told bryan to pick a shoe (any shoe) and that it would be my treat. It’s the little things that get you out of bed during this time, eh?

Today is cleaning out the kitchen cabinets day for me. You know. Just out here livin’ the dream! 🤣

  4. I have also doing more snacking than normal lately, and less walking because of crummy weather… yikes. And good for you for treating yourself with online shopping–sometimes we just need some happy mail to look forward to!

  5. Oh gosh, I need to stop online shopping…as much. Like I’m going to completely stop. LOL I do like a good Zoom meeting – it makes it easier for people to actually get together. That’s awesome Nate did a good job cutting your hair! Mine is going to be really long and thick by the end of this. haha
