Currently in April

It’s a new month and time marches on even when we’re in a pandemic situation. I’m joining up with Anne of In Residence for Currently as I always do because it’s my favorite link up and it’s just one more thing that feels normal in these crazy times. Here are some current happenings for this month based on her prompts.

~Currently I Am~

Sharing – I joined up with some style friends on Instagram to share a united message that we’re all in this together and if we stay home and flatten the curve we will save lives. It was fun to be part of something like this and we all shared the photo yesterday.

Writing – I had an opportunity to write a sponsored blog post earlier this week and it was a fun experience. I’m hoping I have a chance to do something like that again!

Wishing – We’d flatten the curve – or as my favorite chart shows – catten the curve – and be able to get back to life as normal! I’m SO thankful to be able to work from home and that my family is safe and healthy but I do wish this would all be over just a little sooner.

Investigating – Fun athleisure looks since I am working at home. Shea of Shea Lennon was talking about some leggings she found on Amazon that have pockets in them and I was intrigued. I decided to buy a pair and I’m in love. They are comfy and the pocket is an added bonus. I think I might need to add another pair or two!

Buying – I’m trying to support small businesses where I can and friends in the community. I bought a necklace from my friend Kristin of Candidly K Handmade that I personalized with Oliver’s name and his birthstone. I love wearing things that connect me to my family!

So there we go. Adjusting to our new normal and going one day at a time. I’ll have more thoughts on our new normal in my goals and mantras post for April. Until then, be well and stay safe everyone!

  1. I love the Catten the Curve! I hadn’t seen it before. I have a few local restaurants that we’ve been ordering from. I ordered some etsy things also. I needed house numbers and found the cutest ones on there. i hope all is well!

  2. The catten the curve was the best 😊 thank goodness for having a sense of humor during a time of crisis: it helps so much to laugh right now, doesn’t it??

That’s awesome that you got together with some blogger friends for an IG post with a great message ❤️ I hope people realize how important this all is right now and that we collectively do what we can to save as many lives as possible.

And I’ll have to stop by your sponsored post! Congrats, momma!!

  3. I love that idea you and your Insta friends came up with. A friend who manages a grocery store said people are wandering around in there because they’re bored at home. We writers NEVER get bored, do we?

  4. Oh yay I’m so glad you like those leggings! I love the gray color you got, I may have to pick those up as well! And that necklace is so pretty and I love that it’s personalized too. Also, “catten the curve” is cracking me up. 🙂

  5. I love that you’re finding ways to support local/small businesses. I do want to keep doing that as much as I can. Love your new leggings. I could really use some new ones!!

  6. I appreciate anything that feels a little normal in these crazy times – so thanks for joining in! And yes, leggings with pockets are the best – it’s the little things 🙂

Hang in there, and thanks for doing your part, whether its cattening or flattening, ha!
