Currently in November

It’s the first Wednesday of the month once again and as usual, today I’m linking up with Anne of In Residence for Currently. I love this monthly check in on some of the latest happenings. There are some great prompts this month, so let’s get right down to it!

Currently I am…

Picking….out pictures to put in the Christmas card and ones I’d like to print out from the family photo session my friend Erin did for us. She’s been photographing our family since Ollie was one year old, and she always does an amazing job. I am having a hard time choosing!

Preparing…for my friend Amy’s wedding next week. Thankfully the entire event will be indoors now because of weather, but it will be held in a lovely park near my house and it should be a good time.

Trying…making our own yogurt! Nate loves to experiment with different things and has been doing a lot of fermenting of different things and decided to order some yogurt cultures to try our own. We tested it last night and it wasn’t too bad. A little more cheese like and a thinner consistency than commercially made yogurt but overall not bad. I made granola to put in it as well. So yummy!

Feeling…thankful. October wasn’t the best, but you know what, it’s a new month and I’m focusing on the things that matter. I have a roof over my head, an amazing husband, son and family, a job that pays bills, and hobbies I enjoy. I’m truly blessed.

Following...a new photo a day challenge on Instagram. Fellow Peaceful Posse member Kim shared on Instagram a photo challenge she was following so I decided to play along. It’s been fun so far. I like having something other than outfit pictures to share each day!

That’s the latest from here! November is going to be a good month because I just refuse to accept anything else! I hope it’s a good one for all of you too.

  1. I love a family photo session – and early planning on the Christmas cards 🙂 And I hope you have a fabulous time at the wedding, plus a November that is great too.

  2. I love all of your photos – I’m sure choosing for the Christmas card one(s) will be tough indeed. I hope you have an amazing, awesome November!!! I probably should look into some Insta challenges, because I’ve been a bit MIA over there. hah

  3. November does sound busy. I need to find (or get) a good picture of me and Jon for our Christmas cards soon!

Are there benefits to making your own yogurt? It sounds like so much work 😉 (I buy the plain kind anyway and then add fruit or granola myself.)

  4. Those pictures are absolutely darling and they capture your family’s personality and spirit so well. I really love them.
I can’t do homemade yogurt girl. CANNOT. My mamie used to make her own and I think of the smell and the taste…I mean that was back in the day when they just didn’t have the updated technology. ACK I swear I picture it now.
I hope that November is much better for you! xoxo
