What's Up Weekend

What’s Up Weekend 11.1.19

Happy Friday! And happy first day of November! I absolutely love the month of November. First of all, it’s my birth month (the 25th) and it’s also Nate’s birth month (the 26th) Secondly, I absolutely love Thanksgiving. And I hate to admit it, but I even don’t mind how Christmas has started creeping into November just a bit. I don’t go hardcore until December 1st, but I don’t mind a little holiday cheer here and there. Gimme all the red cups at Starbucks. I’m getting ahead of myself here though. Today is Friday and it’s time for What’s Up Weekend with my girls Charlotte and Lindsay. This is where we look at the week that was and what we are grateful for or made us happy. Kick of that weekend the right way! Here’s my happy list for this week!

Nate did the grocery shopping for the week on his own and left Ollie and I at the house to just hang out and play. I just don’t love grocery shopping, so it made me happy that I didn’t have to do it!

We wrapped up our bee classes for the year and learned out to winterize the hives. It was a neat learning experience I hope to share more about here soon.

A pizza night after church with my parents and our close family friends. We hadn’t seen them in awhile so it was nice to catch up with them and Ollie loved sharing all the things he’s been learning at school.

Carving our pumpkins and how delightfully fun and spooky they turned out, especially the weird bumpy one Nate had picked out!

Eating out at one of our favorite Italian restaurants last Friday. It had been several months since we’d been there at this point, so it was a nice treat.

Our Halloween costumes turned out great and Ollie had fun trick or treating last night. Too bad the kid isn’t much for candy though. Whatever shall we do? (more for Mom!)

A repair Nate needed on his car ended up being much cheaper and less major than we though it was going to be.

I hit my goal for my first month of 99 Walks! I was so excited. Towards the last few days I wasn’t quite sure if I’d get there, but I made it just under the wire.

Watching The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown with Ollie. I love that he loves the classics and will watch them with me!

And now we’re off to the weekend! It should be a calmer one than last weekend and thank goodness for that. This mama needs some down time. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Feel free to link up with us below and check out the other posts too!

  1. Your costumes this year came out so great, Beth!! And I love that you took bee keeping courses and learned how to winterize the hives. Bryan has been talking about getting an actual bat house. I can’t get behind it: but bees are cool 😊

Also that’s amazing re: Nate’s car. That like never happens so hope you bought a lottery ticket or something. Hope you have a great weekend ahead, momma!

PS: great pumpkin is one of the best all-time classics ❤️

  2. Congrats on your walking goal, that must feel amazing! You are SO brave letting him grocery shop. I don’t know if I could do that. Heck, I don’t know if he could do that. Alas, it will be one of my forever chores.

  3. Love that picture of your bee keeping class wrapping up for the year!
Your outfits looked so cool for halloween by the way.
I am exactly the same about Christmas and getting festive from the 1st December haha! I only put the tree up and decorate on the 1st and this year I’ve set aside the day (the Sunday) to get everything sorted.
I am nodding along with the grocery shopping – also just don’t enjoy it. It is always great when Mark does it and I must say he is good at going according to the list but also adds some things like chocolate and my favourite sweets without asking 🙂
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

  4. Your costumes are SO cute! That is so funny that Ollie doesn’t like the candy 🙂 Violet is kind of that way too although lately she’s been wanting it, so maybe my sweet tooth is growing on her after all. That beekeeping class sounds fascinating too.

  5. I wish I was like Ollie and didn’t care for much candy. LOL I love your costumes – so adorable. Congrats on hitting your monthly goal for 99 walks! You’re doing awesome.

  6. At our Boo at the Zoo a few weeks ago there were 4 guys dressed up as the Ghostbusters and it was LEGIT and they had an exact replica of the car, too. It was really cool and they were all into it. Ghostbusters was a popular theme this year!
