September Goals and Mantras

We’re off and running into September and I haven’t shared my goals for the month yet! I actually did pretty well in August, mainly because I kept things simple. I’m ready to tackle more this month I think. Before we get too far ahead of ourselves, let’s look at how I did in August.

August Goals

Get Ollie ready for school – Done! We talked about it a lot over the course of the month, bought school supplies and some new clothes and he was pretty darn ready when the day came.

Go to the State Fair Yeppers! I would have loved to have gone a second day but we didn’t plan for that this year. Next year though it is totally happening.

Have a bonfire Yes! We finally had some decent weather so we sat outside one Friday evening and it was lovely, aside from the mosquitoes that is.

More disc golf Still not as much as we’d like but we did get out twice I think.

Find a storage unit for the kitchen This is the only one not done and it needs to happen. I am so over STUFF.

I’m pretty pleased with how I did, but it probably helps I gave myself some pretty achievable goals! Looking into September, now that the rush of back to school is over and we’re settling into a routine, my goals are going to be getting our house back in order and organized.

September Goals

~Get that storage unit for the kitchen

~Go through Ollie’s toys again, organize and donate stuff

~Get my art studio set up in the basement office

~Paint one picture

~Visit the apple orchard

~Make an apple pie

~Go to an Oktoberfest celebration somewhere in town

~Sell two items on Poshmark

There we go! A mix of work and play. I think it’s all pretty do-able. While we are setting into a routine I do feel like time is going to be on hyper speed to the end of the year. September is pretty quiet but starting next month we have family birthdays and Halloween, followed by more family birthdays and Thanksgiving in November and even more birthdays and Christmas in December. If I can get myself organized this month I can be more prepared for all those upcoming events and hopefully enjoy them in the moment more. Therefore my mantras for this month will be about planning and preparing.

Let’s make it a great month everyone! If you have any posts on goals for the month, please feel free to link up with The Peaceful Posse below!

  1. You did awesome in August Beth! Getting a kid ready for school is no joke either–they need SO MUCH STUFF. And that’s always the time of year my kids’ feet grow too it feels like, so I’m like, okay add new shoes to the list too. Your September goals are great too, I definitely want to add a few of those to my list. Oktoberfest, yes please!!

  2. You did great with your August goals, and I love the mix of fun and productive for September! I like the idea of selling 2 things on Poshmark- I need to add that one! Attending an Oktoberfest event is on my list too- I hope we both get there! Good luck with all of your goals!

  3. I love your mantras for the month. I definitely have some things I need to plan ahead for so I’m not scrambling. September is actually the start of my busy season…September and October tend to be the most busy, November not AS Much, and a bit busier in December again.
