What's Up Weekend

What’s Up Weekend 8.30.19

Happy Friday my friends! I missed being here for What’s Up Weekend last Friday but then again, I was at the Fair, so I was pretty happy. I’m back today though with my ladies Charlotte and Lindsay for our weekly love fest where we look back at the past week and celebrate the things we’re grateful for and that made us happy. It’s the best way to wrap up the week and kick off the weekend! Here’s my list for this week!

(1) Being able to spend the day with my boys at the Fair last Friday. I shared about our day in a post on Monday if you missed it. We had a great time.

(2) Open House night at Ollie’s school last night. It is still bittersweet that my boy is starting kindergarten, but he’s pretty excited and it helps a ton that he’ll be at my old elementary school and that his teacher is distantly related to the teacher I had in kindergarten. I think we’re going to have a great year.

(3) Winning a super fun giveaway from a fellow Peaceful Posse blogger, The Emi Times. It’s a scrapbooking set so I’m hoping to get my scrapbook stuff out this weekend and make something!

(4) A fun ladies night with my sister-in-law, mother-in-law and Nate’s cousin who was in town last weekend. We checked out a distillery I hadn’t been to before and I’d love to go back sometime!

(5) I have sold three things in my Poshmark closet since stepping up my efforts. Another goal for the weekend is trying to list some more things!

(6) Disc golfing with my boys last Sunday and enjoying a nice lunch out afterward. With a frose. Because I’m obsessed.

(7) Managing to get Ollie up and out the door early every day this week in preparation for school next week. We got him an Echo Dot to be an alarm clock and it’s working well so far. I’m not so optimistic as to say we’re going to have perfect mornings every day, but I think we’ll be able to make this new schedule work.

(8) An impromptu ice cream sundae event at work yesterday. It was an awesome pick me up in the middle of the day.

(9) The cooler weather. We’ve had the windows open every night and have needed at least a light layer to start the day all week long. I am here for it.

(10) And speaking of cooler weather, seeing signs of Fall. I found this beautiful leaf on the disc golf course last weekend. Changes are coming. And I’m ready.

Off and running to a nice long weekend! I haven’t made plans aside from a concert Nate and I are going to tonight and swim class for Ollie tomorrow. I think we’ll get some good family bonding time in and maybe a little clothes shopping for Ollie for school. As I said I’d like to maybe list some more items in my Poshmark closet. Otherwise I think we’ll take the weekend as it comes! I also took Tuesday off for Ollie’s first day of school, though once he’s dropped off I could’ve gone to work but I’ve decided to take a me day instead. I’m getting my hair done and maybe some other pampering. I deserve it damn it. Ha! Anyway, I hope you all have a fantastic weekend, be safe if you are traveling! The ladies and I would love to have you link up below and be sure to check out the other posts as well!

  1. Sounds like a great week Beth! I’m sure you had a wonderful time at the fair last week.
Lovely pictures of your week – that ice-cream sundae looks SO good and the fall picture is so pretty.
Hope Ollie has a wonderful time at his new school!

  2. My family doesn’t have a lot of plans for the long weekend either and I’m super excited about it. I took my children’s first day of school off too, and they are in 8th and 10th grade. I totally spent it as a me day and it was worth it!

  3. I’m so excited for Ollie and his school year. I remember kindergarten being so much fun. I need a frose in my life. I’m going to have to see if I can make one of those soon! Hope you have a great weekend!

  4. I love that you took today off to drop Ollie off at school and then have a me-day. I hope kindergarten goes well for him this year!! I’m so ready for Fall – I’ve had some of the weather recently and it was so so nice.
