Spring Bucket List

Happy First Day of Spring! And dare I say, it’s actually acting a bit like spring outside! We’ve had some warmer weather and the snow is melting. I’m crossing my fingers for a real spring this year. I feel like we got cheated out of our spring last year, we went from late season snow to 90 degrees almost overnight. Here’s hoping that it’s better this year. In the spirit of such things, I thought I’d share my Spring Bucket List or I guess maybe it’s more of a wish list, things I hope to have happen this spring. I’m not going to get upset or disappointed if all of these things do not happen, but it’s always good to have goals!

Go disc golfing as soon as the snow melts

Look into getting Ollie a new bike

Dye Easter eggs and maybe go to an Easter Egg hunt

Price and sell some things at the Just Between Friends sale

Move the garden beds in the backyard to the north side of the yard

Go to Iowa with my girlfriends to see Rachel Hollis speak

Plant flowers in the front (or make the boys do it for Mother’s Day)

Clean up the yard

Have a bonfire

Celebrate my mom’s birthday, Easter, Mother’s Day and our anniversary

Get back to walking/jogging outside

Visit Sea Salt Restaurant as soon as it’s open for the year

Start eating outside as soon as it’s warm enough

Have Nate smoke some barbecue meats

Get the garden planted

I think that’s about it. I could think of more, but those are some of the main things I hope to have happen this spring! It’s funny, spring never used to be my favorite season and I will say that title still belongs to fall, but spring has really started to capture my heart. I think it’s because I’m just not a winter girl the older I get!

What do you hope to do this spring?

  1. What a fun list! Also I love that you are going to see Rachel Hollis! I still need to read her books but everything I’ve seem on her sounds so inspirational. I’m hoping to start gardening this spring/ i have a brown thumb so need my mommas help 😊 hope you enjoy your spring!!

  2. I have to be honest, I’m WAY jealous you’re going to hear Rachel speak! She’s speaking in Michigan (this month, I believe?) and I WISH I could go!! Will you take notes and share takeaways with the rest of the class? haha

  3. I’m so ready for Spring! You’ve got a great list. I can’t wait to eat outside. We also have to get the twins new bikes. I’m hoping some rummage sales will start soon and can find one there.

  4. I’m so ready for warmer weather. Fall will always be my favorite season, but Spring is probably second. I hope you get to cross off all of these items. I need to get my Spring bucket list figured out myself. 🙂

  5. This is a great list, you have some fun things on here! I am so excited for spring but I haven’t given too much thought about what I actually plan to DO! Ha! I need to get on that 🙂

  6. Sounds like a lot of things you’ve got to look forward to during spring!
That must be so amazing seeing Rachel Hollis. I’ve heard such good things about her books.
I’ve always loved spring and I’m a bit sad we are saying goodbye to summer but after your cold winter you definitely deserve your turn for warm weather.
