Currently in February

It’s the first Wednesday of the month, so that means it is time for the Currently link up with Anne from In Residence. I love this monthly check in of what some current happenings are in my life. Without further ado, here is my list for this month!

~Currently I Am~

Anticipating – Spring. Always. Once Christmas is over I’m pretty much over winter. Especially after the recent cold snap and then driving in ice this week. Yeah. But then again, for the next item, maybe winter isn’t so bad…

Going – Sledding. Yep, I just complained about winter, but at the same time, I have been reminded that it can be kind of fun too. We took Ollie sledding last weekend and he loved it SO much. He even went down on his own a number of times. We got some more snow this week so I think we’ll be going back next weekend. Fine winter, you win this one.

Making – Chocolate chip cookies. They are Ollie’s favorite. I made a batch to take to our Super Bowl party last weekend but thankfully it made a ton, so we still have quite a few to enjoy.

Watching – Late to the party, but we started The Handmaid’s Tale. OMG. I’m hooked. I wanted to wait to watch it until I read the book but that just wasn’t happening and I decided to just go all in. We’ll be binging this one for sure.

Wearing – All the layers. It’s still cold. Today I chose a sweater, denim jacket AND a scarf. My office is cold. This is called survival, ha!

There you have it! February is a short month, so I get the feeling it’s going to fly by. I’d be ok with that! Be sure to head over to Anne’s blog to see all the other currently posts!

  1. Ahhhh! I loved Handmaids Tale!! I also love me some cookies! LOL . I always save a few at the end of the batch with not so many chips in it. Im weird lol . I can’t wait for spring either. My red bud tree has so many little buds on it, soon it will be full of pink flowers! The end of winter is near! Hopefully for you guys too!

  2. I definitely think February is going to fly by, but I’m okay with that. Plus, there are lots of fun things planned so that’s always exciting. Aw, I’m glad that Ollie enjoyed sledding. And mmm…chocolate chip cookies are the best.

  3. Haha, I’m feeling exactly the same about spring and about sledding! And yep, good time of year to get creative with the layering. I don’t usually get much use out of my beloved denim jacket in the winter, but now you’ve inspired me to pair it with a sweater – because I think I can juuuuust fit all of that under my puffer coat 🙂

  4. Awww so fun that you went sledding, and I love that Ollie went down on his own ❤️ I guess there are some fun things about the winter, but I’m with you and over it!! That said, we’ve had a few days of 60+ weather and I’m loving it but also it’s confusing me lol.

I need to watch the Hamdmaid’s Tale! Have heard so many good things!!

Hope you’re having a great week, my sweet!

  5. Sledding looks like so much fun! Glad you are making the most of your cold weather 🙂
I think I’m the only person on earth that started watching The Handmaids Tale and didn’t continue.
Chocolate chip cookies are the best – enjoy!

  6. I love the Handmaids Tail! I can’t wait for the new season! I am so over winter. I have been sick for pretty much all of it. I need a normal month of no sick, no -35 degree weather and just a pleasant weekend with my family!

  7. I’m so over winter. Maybe if we had gone sledding I would feel a little better about it, but who knows. I need to watch Handmaid’s Tale. I read the book in high school and then again several years ago, and I loved it. I heard the show is good!

  8. I’m also anticipating Spring. Once Christmas is over, I’m basically over winter and ready for warmer weather. Homemade chocolate chip cookies are the best!

  9. I still haven’t watched The Handmaid’s Tale (although I’ve read the book)… should I get on that?

I love that you went sledding! 🙂 I was in Denver for work last week and I enjoyed some snow!
