What's Up Weekend

What’s Up Weekend 12.14.18

Well lookie here, another week flown by again! It wasn’t really a week to write home about, it was actually rather boring, but sometimes I think boring is good! Kind of that calm before the storm as the holiday rush is going to really hit us in the next week here I think! Anyway, even in a quiet week there is plenty of good and happy things to reflect on and I’m here to do just that today with my girls Charlotte and Lindsay in our What’s Up Weekend weekly link up! Here are the things that made me smile this week.

Making Christmas cookies with my mom and Ollie. I love that he’s joining our traditions!

Watching Moana, as I mentioned the other day, I loved it.

Nate replacing my copy of A Charlie Brown Christmas when we couldn’t find it this week.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season two. So. Good.

Having a Mom/Ollie day while Nate went to a class last Saturday.

Warm relaxing baths.

Christmas cards beginning to arrive in the mail.

Ollie singing to me at bedtime last night instead of me singing to him.

So it was a pretty decent week overall! This weekend we have Ollie’s Christmas program at school tonight and then we’re going to take him to a Candy Cane Hunt at a local park tomorrow. And there will be some Christmas shopping in there cause we gotta step up our game! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Feel free to link up with the ladies and I below and check out the other posts too!

  1. I always love seeing Ollie’s baking photos. He is going to be a master chef/pastry chef when he gets older! My family is going extra light on the Christmas shopping this year, so I haven’t had to do much, and everything I have purchased, I got online and for a great deal and free shipping. No standing in busy lines for me! Hope you have a fantastic weekend, friend!

  2. I love A Charlie Brown Christmas, but can you believe I don’t own it? I think I have it or had it on VHS, but I really need to up my Christmas DVD game. LOL Aw, I love that Ollie likes baking with you. Your cookies look fun! I need to make some more – my mom always likes to make spritz cookies but we’ve kind of failed on those the last few years or so. I’ve never heard of a candy cane hunt, but I LOVE that so much.

  3. Always nice to receive Christmas cards! We don’t usually exchange many but I’ve decided next year I’m going to buy them in advance and post/exchange way before Christmas.
That is so sweet that Ollie enjoys baking with you and that candy cane hunt must have been fun!

  4. Hey momma,

I just adore any and all pictures of Oliver. He really is a great mix of you two. In some, I think he looks so, SO much like you and others, like Nate. Definitely has your smile and eyes and looks more like Nate when straight faced. Anyways getting carried away. LOL how’s your week been? I didn’t send out cards this year and I’m feeling the guilt. Lol I shouldn’t but you know how it is. I’m doing ecards instead so look out for one of those. 🙂

I cannot believe Christmas is riiiiiight around the corner. Holy crap man! I hope you’ve had a good week my dear.
