What I Wore in October
Happy Halloween! I’ll be sharing pictures of our Halloween costumes and such tomorrow. Today I’m doing my usual last Wednesday of the month post about dressing up of a different kind – a wrap up of my favorite outfits of the month. This month treated us to a bunch of cooler weather so I was happy to start pulling out my sweaters and boots again! Here are my favorites from this month.
Sweater – LOFT (from cousin), Pants – Old Navy, Shoes – Thrifted
This was a very simple look, but one that just felt really good on me. These pants from Old Navy are my new favorites (thanks mom!) and go with everything. They have just a little bit of stretch in them so they’re uber comfortable.
Sweater – Mainstream Boutique (via Clothes Mentor), Jeans – Old Navy (thrifted), Scarf – via swap, Boots – Style Encore, Cute Kid Photo Bomb – Made by Me
We get an Ollie cameo in this one! This was a Friday look a couple of weeks ago. I was attempting a purple Friday to support the Vikings. I love this sweater I got at Clothes Mentor. It was new with the tags still on from a rather spendy boutique! The boots I found at Style Encore are my new favorite thing ever. They are so warm and cozy. I will be living in them this winter. This entire outfit made me smile. And so does my kid modeling in the mirror with me.
Dress – Lularoe Julia (Style Encore), Sweater – Thrifted, Leggings – Lularoe, Boots – Target, Scarf – Target
I called this my most Fall look ever. The colors couldn’t be more fall like if they tried. I love this Julia dress I found last year at Style Encore. It’s comfy but it is stylish and hugs me just right. These Target boots are on their last legs I think. They are my MVP of boots, I wear them all the time because they go with SO much, but sadly it’s starting to show. I am hoping they will make it through this winter and I can snag a replacement pair on clearance at season end.
Jean Jacket – Old Navy (thrifted), Floral Top – Secondhands Fashion (boutique), Pants – LOFT (Style Encore), Boots – Coach via Garage Sale
This was my outfit yesterday and I loved it. My friend Shea of Shea Lennon just did an entire post on dark floral for Fall and Winter and I have to agree with her. You can do so much with a darker floral look like this top! She paired hers with a fantastic brown moto style jacket and I think I need to find something like that to try with this!
So there you have it. We’re definitely moving into the time of year where more and more layers are needed. I thought I’d be dreading it after the winter that wouldn’t end last year, but instead I’m finding myself saying BRING IT ON. All the layers. Layers = love.
