What I Wore In August

And just like that, August is almost over. I cannot believe this weekend is Labor Day weekend already. How??? Anyway, I will have a recap of our State Fair adventure from yesterday later, but today it’s time for my monthly “What I Wore” post. Here are some of my favorite looks from August. It was a pretty warm month.

Sweater – Maurices (thrifted), Dress – Merona (thrifted) Sandals – Style Encore

I’m pretty sure this dress was in my July outfit post too. I love this dress so much though. It’s so comfy on a warm day and it looks cute with a lot of different things. Definitely a closet MVP!

Tied shirt – Ana via Clothing Swap, Tank top Old Navy, Jeans – Mossimo (thrifted) Sandals – from cousin

I laughed the day I wore this outfit, the tied shirt was a closet orphan, I totally forgot I had it! I threw it over a tank top on a warm Friday and it was a nice casual outfit for work, a little retro feeling in a good way.

Vest – Kohls, Tank top – Lularoe, Pants – Faded Glory (thrifted) Shoes – from sister in law – Jewelry – KEEP

How many favorite things can I cram into one outfit? Pink? Check. These floral pants? Check. My denim vest? Check. The amazing tank top Lularoe came out with this year? Check. KEEP Collective jewelry pieces? Check, check, check. Seriously cannot love this look more. Summer perfection.

Dress as shirt – Lularoe Carly, Skirt- Lularoe Lola, Necklace – Origami Owl, Sandals – from cousin

This outfit was a Laundry Room Surprise. I had these two items hanging together to dry and realized they matched well. I love transforming and mixing looks together by putting a skirt over a dress. It totally gives a new look to both pieces.

Dress – Lularoe Dani, Vest – Kohls

You are going to be seeing this dress a TON. I am in love with it. This is a new style Lularoe released this year and the colors of this particular one are perfection. It’s great with my denim vest here for summer, but it’s going to transition to fall with a denim jacket or a number of cardigans I have that will match these colors. I could not love this more!

There you have it! I am going to admit I am getting pretty anxious for sweaters and boots. I really didn’t think that I would after last winter hanging on so long, but there is something about Fall that just gets me so giddy. So, I say bring on those cool days. Just don’t bring any snow with it!

  1. LOVE the Dani Lularoe dress. 🙂 I’ve honestly never looked into Lularoe so I have no idea the price points, but what’s a pretty dress like this cost? I want to see it without the vest on. 🙂 Looks great on you, love. 🙂 xoxo

  2. I’m ready for the fall too. I feel like I dress cuter when I can layer outfits. LOL I’ve never put a skirt over a dress, but I love the way you did it here. They really do go together well. I mostly have leggings and Irma tops from LulaRoe, but I want to try some others in the future…it just depends. I have a dress from them but it’s a bit too tight, so I’m really hoping I can eventually fit into it as I’m hoping to lose more weight this year. We’ll see. LOL

  3. I also can’t believe August is basically over! This summer FLEW by! You’ve inspired me to buy more thrifted Lularoe items–such a great idea!

  4. Ooh that last dress is so pretty, I love it! I can see why it’s a new fave. Also, I love the “laundry room surprise”–that cracked me up. And you’re right, it does make a good combo!
