What I Wore in March

It’s the last Wednesday in March already! That means it’s time for a round up of my favorite looks from March. I will admit to being a bit challenged in my outfits this month. I’m SO ready for spring wear but the weather has been anything but spring like. I’ve coped by trying to at least bring some brighter colors into my warm layers!

Sweater – Arc’s Value Village, Top, skirt and leggings – Lularoe, Boots – Target

This is actually Ollie’s Lularoe Madison skirt and don’t you forget it. He declared it his at my last Lula pop-up, but I wrestled it away from him to wear early on in the month. This color combination really makes me smile.

Sweater – Style Encore, Tank top – Old Navy, Leggings – Lularoe, Boots – Target, Necklace – Thirty One, Scarf – thrifted

I’m in love with these leggings, they look like houndstooth from a distance. They pair nicely with my thrifted sweater and it was a pretty cold day this day so I added a scarf, but I just couldn’t do a heavy winter one! This pretty lightweight one fit the bill well though!

Skirt – J Crew (via Style Encore), Sweater – Old Navy (thrifted), T-shirt – H&M, Leggings – Lularoe, Boots – Target

I adore this owl print skirt I bought at Style Encore back this fall. I have only worn it twice somehow. I think I’ll get a lot more wear out of it when I can do so without leggings, but thankfully i have a great pair of yellow ones that match it well!

Sweater – Target, Dress – Lularoe Carly, Pants – Simply Vera via ThredUp, Shoes – from cousin, Necklace – Stella & Dot

One of my favorite things to do with a Lularoe Carly is knot it to make it more like a tunic and wear it with regular pants instead of leggings. I can’t take credit for that idea, I stole it from Pinterest, but I love doing it! I pulled out these bright pink pants to try and bring some spring vibes on a gray day.

Sweater – Old Navy, Shirt – Lularoe Classic T, Dress – Lularoe Carly, Leggings – Lularoe, Shoes – thrifted

This was yesterday’s look and I’m calling it my ballerina look because it kind of made me feel like I was wearing something a ballerina would wear. My friend Cyndy who sells Lularoe is constantly layering shirts over her dresses to give it a new look and I realized I haven’t done much of that lately so I matched a couple of items yesterday and fell in love with the look!

Sweater – Old Navy, Top – Secondhands Fashion, Jeans – JCPenney, Shoes – Rhea Footwear

And this is today’s look. It’s going to be warmer today, yay! So I had to do some fun colors. This top from the boutique side of Secondhands Fashion matches my mint pants so well. I added a lightweight sweater but I’m hoping to maybe shed it later if it gets a little warmer, we shall see!

That’s my March round up! I’m really hoping by the end of April you’ll be seeing me in more skirts and dresses and maybe – gasp – bare legs! Less layers and boots too! Spring will come, I believe in it!

  1. I felt the same way all month. I wanted to wear all the spring things but the weather had other things in mind. I love incorporating bright colors though, even when I have to wear boots and tights! I love the look with that owl skirt (so cute!) and the “ballerina” look. I like how you’re experimenting with layers and knotting. So creative!

  2. It’s SOOOO hard to dress for this weather, so I admire all the cute outfits you’ve put together (and seriously this morning I left the house and it was FREEZING, then it’s 50, and now I’m back to freezing again. THE HELL?!). Anyway, I am obsessed with that owl skirt. And also your cardigans. I feel like I need to raid your closet and have you pixie do my hair. I JUST LOVE IT SO!!!

  3. I don’t mind layers, but sometimes it can be hard to figure out what to wear. I’m loving all your tights and that ballerina look with a shirt over a dress is so cute! I just love that idea. ūüôā

  4. Love that coral sweater one you! And being able to match those mint pants- I wouldn’t have thought of putting those pieces together but it totally works! I can’t/won’t do skirts in winter even with fleece leggings, but hoping to pull them out soon!

  5. Great winter outfits. Those boots go with everything!
I love that owl skirt – it is so cute!
I find layering in winter is essential but you’ve made it super trendy.
