What’s Up Weekend 3.16.18

Happy Friday and Happy Almost St. Patrick’s Day! I’m a small amount Irish so I always get a little excited about St. Patrick’s Day. I’ll be breaking out some green tomorrow and we’ll have some corned beef in Reuben form for dinner. For now though, it’s Friday and I’m here as usual with my girls Charlotte and Lindsay to celebrate the good things from the week in our What’s Up Weekend post. It was another challenging week at times and I’m starting to sound like a broken record as far as that goes, but I think we’re finally figuring some things out that are helping, so that’s a good thing. And no matter what, I can always find something to be grateful for and things that made me happy!

(1) This super awesome shirt that Nate brought me back from Portland. We’re beer fans and we’re the Oregon Trail generation, so it’s pretty much perfection.

(2) Discovering a fascinating new to us documentary on Netflix called Chef’s Table – if you’re into food in any fashion, you’ll enjoy it too.

(3) Another round of tumbling classes for our little gymnast. He really enjoys the class so we decided another round wouldn’t hurt to give us something active to do until we can be out playing disc golf or other things outside.

(4) Hooking back up with my book club. My book club started regrouping just as I’m getting my reading mojo back. I have decided though to not overstress about the books, if I like the book and can finish it then that’s great, if I can’t finish it or I can’t make the meeting, it won’t be the end of the world. It’s not school. I will say the selections so far are sounding really great though!

(5) A green sprinkle donut from the bakery this morning for an early St. Patrick’s Day treat. I was pretty sure the bakery would do something fun for the holiday!

(6) Mexican food dinners twice this week. It’s pretty much my favorite thing ever and my husband is so good at cooking Mexican food!

(7) I crossed an item off my spring cleaning list and cleaned out and re-organized my makeup drawer. It looks SO much better. I still need to wash my brushes and combs but maybe I’ll have a chance to do that this weekend. But this was a good start!

(8) Fun nails for St. Patrick’s Day. I have owned this green nail polish for a few years now and it hasn’t gone bad yet and I pretty much only use it at this time of year, ha! But I love the fun sparkly green color!

(9) Cat snuggles at night. We’ve started leaving our bedroom door open at night and Taylor has been pretty much sleeping with us every night. In her old age she’s not as likely to be on the bed, off the bed as much, so we’re happy to let her come in and snuggle.

(10) Figuring out some solutions to a bit of a digestive issue that Oliver’s been dealing with. I think things will only continue to improve.

And that brings us to today and the weekend ahead of us! As I mentioned, I’m looking forward to St. Patrick’s Day tomorrow. I’m also excited to be going to a little in-home party at my sister-in-law’s best friend’s house to learn about how to make macarons. Yum. And I hope to tackle some of that spring cleaning stuff this weekend as well. I hope you all have wonderful weekends too. Feel free to link up with the ladies and I below and check out the other posts! Also, don’t forget about our Pot O Gold giveaway that I posted yesterday!

  1. Omg, all your things! Your green nail polish! The Oregon Trail nail polish! and goodness, look at little Ollie’s tumbling! I love how his confidence is growing with each session; I feel like that comes across in photos of him! Hope his tummy is starting to get better, poor guy. Happy weekend, sweet friend!

  2. I need that Oregon Trail shirt in my life! I used to love that game. Also, give me all the Mexican food. I’ve been craving it something fierce lately. Love that green shade of nail polish. Looks like you’re ready for St. Pat’s Day!

  3. Oh have fun making macarons, that sounds fun! I’ve never tried to make them before. That shirt is hilarious too, I love it. Have fun celebrating tomorrow! We’re going to enjoy some festivities too, I can’t wait!

  4. Oh, Oregon Trail. Love the shirt! And your nails are super cute – look at you going all out for St. Patrick’s Day. A day to learn about making macarons sounds fantastic. I hope you have a blast. That’s great Ollie is doing more tumbling since he loves it so much. I think my nephew would really enjoy something like that. And mmmm…that donut looks great!

Well done on tackling your spring cleaning list – with me it is an autumn cleaning list.
I love seeing pics of people’s make up drawers. You’ve got some cool stuff in there 🙂

  6. Hey babe,
Your T-shirt and festive nails ROCK! 🙂
I’m glad that things with Ollie are getting better. He looks happier, if that’s even possible. (I read your Ollie post but didn’t comment)
