What's Up Weekend

What’s Up Weekend 12.15.17

There are just ten days until Christmas. AHHHHHH!!!!! I kid. Things are slowly coming together at home and we have a full weekend of holiday fun ahead of us. But before that, it’s time to reflect on the week that was with my girls Charlotte and Lindsay in What’s Up Weekend! Here’s a look at what brought me joy this week!

(1) My Stranger Things hoodie finally arrived! I was watching everyone else get theirs and thinking that mine would never come, but it did and I love it. It’s warm and cozy and purple. I’m a nerd but I don’t care!

(2) Netflix and chilling in the basement while my light up tree sparkles next to the TV. It’s been so cozy!

(3) Speaking of lights, the beautiful lights we saw at the Arboretum last Saturday. I’m hoping to do some more light hunting this weekend too.

(4) Christmas music all day every day. I usually don’t go 24/7 with my Christmas music until the last week before the holiday but I’ve pretty much been all in on Christmas music since Dec 1st. And I’m loving it.

(5) The delicious date night meal Nate made us the other night with our leftovers from the dinner we had with his office. He kind of made a bruschetta type thing. It was SO good.

(6) A good doctor visit for Ollie on Monday. He didn’t even cry when he got his flu shot, I was so impressed!

(7) Twinning in holiday leggings with my favorite little guy. He wears them to bed and loves them. I love that it’s a way I can kind of do a mommy and me thing with him!

(8) Morning snuggles with the kiddo. He’s not the easiest to wake up in the morning and once he is awake he isn’t always the happiest, but before I wake him up I bring him out to the couch and let him snuggle with me while he still dozes a bit. Makes mornings a little brighter anyway!

(9) These two. I just have such a full heart.

(10) Coffee. I often say that, but it’s one of the early days at work for me today, so coffee. Enough said.

Looking ahead to the weekend, we have Ollie’s school holiday program tonight. I cannot wait, the kids are so freaking cute, I’m pretty sure even the Grinch won’t be able to resist them! Tomorrow we have a family Christmas party with my mom’s side of the family, and we also plan to get some Christmas shopping done, so it will be a full day! I told Nate we will be watching some holiday movies this weekend and I also need to make some gingersnaps. It’ll be a busy but good weekend I think!

Please feel free to link up with us below and check out the other posts as well. Have a great weekend!

  1. What a great week! I am looking forward to the weekend with wrapping presents, making fudge (again) and making some truffles. I plan on getting my arts & crafts on this weekend too all while watching Christmas movies!

  2. You can be my stand in person and go with my sister to the half a million dollar light show downtown. I have been trying to get out of going to it forever. It’s too cold for me man. Too cold. My kid doesn’t even want to go LOL! I’ll stay in and eat that bruschetta. That looks amazing!

  3. Sounds like a great week. Love the hoodie. Nerd on girl! What are you watching on Netflix? I need a new series to binge. Good luck to Ollie tonight!

  4. I love your sweatshirt and your matching leggings! Dinner looked super yummy. Sounds like you have a busy and fun weekend ahead. Kids Christmas concerts are the best! I bet Ollie will be adorable.

  5. Aw, your matching leggings are too cute. I’m glad that Ollie’s doctor appointment went well. Shots are never fun!
I have a bit of holiday fun going on this weekend too, so I’m excited. I’m hoping to get around and see some lights!

  6. Girl, you are so adorable and photogenic. For reals. Loving the Christmas lights.
I’m loving the tights party with your boy. 🙂 I cannot believe it’s December 21st. This week and entire month has whirled by at warp speeds. Are you off all next week? I work next Friday but that’s by choice – I have end of Q3 and I want to get all my ducks in a row for that so that I’m not scrambling first week of January.

Have a great evening my love xoxoxo!
