Currently in November

Well then. It’s November. My favorite month of the year. But man, it has started off with a bang, lots of sickness in our house. Ollie’s got himself another cold virus and then I got hit with some weird stomach thing so it’s been a fun start to the month. I am hoping we’re just getting all this sickness out of the way now and maybe we’ll be healthy the rest of this winter! Anyway, today is the Currently link up and I never like to miss it, so here is what is currently happening besides germs in our world!

Wearing – Super comfy things like cozy cardigans over the Randy shirt from Lularoe and leggings or skinny pants. Booties. On cooler days I’ve been adding a scarf. Fall is my favorite season to wear clothes. ALL the layers!

Starting – I’m starting to scrapbook again. I had a little project I was working on over the weekend and after I finished that I pulled out the baby scrapbook I started for Ollie and got two more pages done. I’m hoping that momentum will keep me going to get it finished. I’d like to have his entire first year of life documented in this book, so we’ll see how it goes!

Celebrating – All the birthdays! Mine is the 25th, Nate’s is the 26th, we have extended family birthdays this month and yesterday was my co-unicorn mama Jen’s birthday as well. I am also looking forward to celebrating Thanksgiving, it’s one of my favorite holidays. And this weekend we’ll be celebrating a wedding for one of Nate’s cousins. Lots of celebrating going on!

Googling – Speaking of birthdays, a certain young boy in our house has a birthday in just about a month. I can’t believe he’s going to be 3! Anyway I’m slowly googling birthday ideas. I think we’re going to keep it a little more low key for a party this year, but I’m still looking for fun Paw Patrol themed ideas!

Discovering – That I’m not Superwoman. I know that sounds silly, but I think getting sick this week was probably a big reminder to myself that I am not invincible, I can’t do it all and sometimes I need to slow down a little bit. And you know what? That’s ok.

So there you have it! Once we get past this little blip in our radar I think November will be a good month. Make sure to check out our Currently hosts Anne and Catherine’s blogs for other Currently posts or to add your own!

  1. Love everything that you are up to! I can’t wait to see the 2 pages you did for Ollie’s scrapbook! Hope that the rest of your month and winter brings you guys health!

  2. Love these types of posts. I’m going to start doing them too, sometime. (I read Anne’s blog, too!)

Huge YES to your last one – slowing down our lives I think is so important (and so undervalued!).

  3. It is definitely hard to admit that we are not superwomen! I am sick right now too and it sucks. Your November sounds like my October. In October, we have ALL the birthdays!

  4. How fun that your birthdays are so close together! I would totally use that as an excuse to celebrate big 🙂 Hope you’re all feeling better soon – I’m dreading those colds coming our way this winter…

  5. How do I not remember your birthday?! It’s the same day as my father-in-law’s and… this kid’s due date! My niece and nephew are also mid-November birthdays, and my brother-in-law and sister-in-law are early December birthdays, so it’s a very birthday crazy time!

also i’ve heard so many great things about lularoe and i’m so curious to try on some of their stuff sometime to see if it actually lives up to the hype.

  7. I hope everyone is feeling better now!! I know what you mean about needing the reminder that you can’t do it all–it sometimes takes sickness (or a new baby for me, ha!) to remind me that sometimes I just have to let things go.
