#MomStyleRemix – Chambray

The single most versatile object in my closet has to be my chambray shirt. I don’t even know how many outfits I’ve made with it over time. When I saw that this month’s Mom Style Remix with Anne and Jenn was a chambray shirt, I knew I’d have a few different outfits to share!

First we have this Pinned It, Spinned It look I did this last Fall.  Very simple with black leggings and a pink sweater. Comfy and chic. While I’m wearing it under a cardigan here, sometimes I’ll wear it under a pullover sweater as well.  It’s such a great layering piece.

This next look is from just a few weeks ago, I paired it with one of my Cassie skirts from Lularoe and was slightly embarassed at how wrinkly it was that day – but I keep it real, mom life, am I right? Anyway, this was a nice look for work and kind of dresses down the Cassie skirt a bit.

Another fun way to wear a chambray shirt is knotted over a dress. I love this look with this fun striped dress from Stitch Fix. It kind of makes the dress a little less dressy and adds a nice layer if the air conditioning is on.

Finally, here’s today’s look – paired with my Old Navy pixie pants. Add a necklace and some fun shoes and boom. Instant outfit!

These are honestly only a few of the ways I’ve styled my chambray shirt over the years. There are so many other ways to wear it.  It’s a true closet MVP!

Make sure to check out Anne and Jenn’s blogs for other ways moms are styling their chambray shirts. Maybe you’ll find a new way to style yours!

  1. 100% agree. I wear my chambray shirt so much that I specifically have not done a remix post on it because it would take to darn long! I love the way you tied it over a dress. That is my favorite way as well!

  2. I am with you–chambray is such a staple and I wear mine all the time. I love all your looks–you’re making me want to do mine knotted over a striped dress! That would be bump-friendly too 🙂

  3. I love the knotted idea, i haven’t done that yet, but will be adding my chambray back into the rotation soon, I use a somewhat capsule type wardrobe with leaving some items in storage during the summer, so pumped to get into clothes I haven’t worn in a while!

  4. The chambray shirt just carries across seasons, doesn’t it? Such a great topper for fun patterned pants. Thanks for joining us for some remixing!
