Currently in July

Time for my favorite link up of the month again!  It’s Currently with Anne and Jenna!  Here’s a snapshot of some current happenings in our world.

Currently

Toasting – We have definitely been raising a glass or two to Nate’s grandmother.  We had a nice celebration of her life last week and I loved hearing stories about her younger days and learning more about the amazing woman she was.  Here’s to you Grandma Dolly.  Cheers.

Wearing – All the Lularoe as usual.  Over the holiday weekend I pulled out some of the Americana Lularoe pieces I was lucky enough to score.  We went on a double date with Jen and her husband Jeremy to a taproom and we had to take a picture of our Lula-ness together!

Wishlisting – Lisa Frank has made an adult coloring book.  My third grade self is dancing.  I need this.  I saw it isn’t even that expensive, so I don’t think it will be just a wish list item for long!

Going – To run in the Color Run this weekend.  I am so excited, this will be my first Color Run event! I’m not even that worried about the running, from what I’ve heard, this one is all about the fun, it isn’t really about how fast you can run.  I’d better start digging out some white clothing to get color bombed with!

Smelling – Of “Hello Beautiful” from Bath and Body Works.  I picked up a bunch of stuff right after our Jamaica trip and of their new scents I tried, this one is my favorite.  It’s just light and feminine and nice for summer.

So that’s what is going on in my world.  I have a hard time believing it is already July and that July 4th has come and gone.  But I’m staying present (see, working on that word of the year again!) and positive, there is so much of summer still to come!

Make sure to head over to Anne of In Residence and Jenna of Gold and Bloom to check out more Currently posts!

  1. I’ve always wanted to do one of those color runs. You’re going to have a blast. Love your patriotic shirt! It’s so nice to hear that everyone is sharing memories of Grandma Dolly. She sounds like she was a wonderful woman who made a positive mark on the world and those she loved.

  2. Make sure you leave super early for the Color Run! We thought we’d left plenty early… but ended up missing our heat (fortunately, they’re super relaxed about that kind of stuff). Of course, that was 3 years ago. And in Winnipeg. But you’ll have fun!!!

  3. Ooh Lisa Frank you say? I think I need that coloring book too, that brings back such memories! Have fun at the color run! They do look really fun, even for a total non-runner like me 🙂 And you two are so cute in your red, white, and blue LulaRoe!

  4. That is the bittersweet thing about losing a loved one–reminiscing about how special they are! And the moment I saw that Lisa Frank coloring book announcement I was so excited!!
