Hi! It’s Ollie! I was a little too shy to talk to you when I saw you a couple of weeks ago, so I thought I’d write you a letter. I’m a big two year old now you know! I’ve been a good boy this year. Well, as good as I can be. It’s hard to be a toddler sometimes. Sometimes I don’t listen very well and sometimes I get a little upset when I don’t get my way. I’m still learning and growing though and every day is a new day to try again!
My mommy says I’m doing really well at feeding myself with a fork and a spoon. She says I also am good at my colors and my alphabet and numbers. I am also a good helper; I love to help give my kitties treats and food. I also try to help put away laundry and clean dishes. The one time it snowed I helped daddy shovel. I wish it would snow again.
When you come to my house on Christmas Eve you’ll see I have a big, BIG tree with lots of lights. I want to touch the lights, but mommy tells me they’re for looking, not touching. I hope there is still room for you to leave presents under the tree, there are already a lot of wrapped presents under there! I keep asking mommy and daddy to open them, but they say we have to wait until Christmas morning. It’s a little confusing, I just had a birthday and I got to open presents then. Why can’t I open presents every day? Oh well, I will just keep working on that patience word I guess.
When I visited with you in person you asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I said a red truck. I hope you didn’t forget, because I haven’t. When everyone asks me what I want Santa to bring, I say “Red truck.” I think you should bring mommy coffee, she says every morning “I need more coffee or I didn’t have enough coffee for this,” so she must need a bunch of it. I think you should bring daddy another set of keys. I want to play with his keys but he says it’s his only set and he says he needs them, so if you bring another set, then I can play with his all I want! And I think Taylor and Pippin want food. Every night they meow really loud and mama says it’s because they’re hungry. So they need more food.
I can’t wait for you to come to my house. If I see you I will give you high fives again! Tell Rudolph I say hello, his song is my favorite.
