100 Days of Happiness Beth

#100 Happy Days Recap

In August, right around the launch of my updated blog, I started a #100HappyDays initiative on my Instagram. I wrote about it here. I find it no coincidence that I started this project right around the time I was really starting to ramp up my job search and anticipating the changes to come. I am glad that I started this in the thick of all of that, because it helped me find at least one thing to be happy about in the midst of all the chaos.

After 100 days I can honestly say, it was worth it. Many of my pictures were of Ollie because well, even on a bad day he can almost always make me smile. I also found many of my pictures were of, well, beer, because let’s face it, beer makes me happy! There were plenty of date night meals, especially on Monday nights. The cats definitely made it in a few times. And there were activities, friends, and my wonderful and supportive hubby in the 100 days as well.

I think if I were to make a collage of all of the pictures, it would be a snapshot of my life. And you know what? My life is pretty dang good. It makes me smile. I wouldn’t say I was un-happy before I started this project, but I can honestly say I’m happier having done it – and I am going to continue to strive to find one good thing about each day. I might not be sharing it in the same fashion anymore, maybe it will become a journal project or something, but I seriously love finding the good and focusing on the happy things. Here are just a few of my favorites from the last 100 days.

And here’s the best one – day 100.  My favorites.  If they can’t make me happy, nothing else will.  They are what matter.  And they always make me smile.

If you followed along with me – thank you! I highly encourage giving it a try, it might be just the mood booster you’re looking for!
