Stitch Fix October Review
I decided to get another Stitch Fix box before I put a lock on my wallet as we get close to birthdays (including my own) and Christmas. I also thought it would be helpful with working on my more casual wardrobe. And finally, my last box was a bit of a disappointment, so I thought I’d give it another spin a little sooner to hopefully improve on things a bit. My box came yesterday and it just so happened to be a day I worked an earlier schedule at work, so I was able to get home to try on my goodies that much sooner and I have to say, while I had a different stylist again, I ended up loving this box a ton more. Here is what I got this time – not the greatest quality pictures unfortunately, but I think you’ll get the idea.
Collective Concepts Rilo Button Up Blouse:
I had asked for something in plaid since it seems to be the hot pattern this season (and I have always loved my plaid), but my stylist said there wasn’t anything in stock in my size, but sent this instead. I haven’t always been a fan of the Collective Concepts brand on me, but this one finally felt like a winner. It’s lightweight enough for warmer weather, but will be a great piece to layer this Fall and Winter as well. I like the pattern a lot! Verdict: KEPT
Market and Spruce Denver Cable Knit Elbow Patch Cardigan:
I am such a sucker for a cozy cardigan. I’m even more of a sucker for elbow patches. So this was kind of a no brainer – not to mention, I had seen this on another blogger’s review and linked it in my notes to my stylist, so I’m not that surprised this showed up. I was saying well, I don’t know that I really need another gray sweater, but then my mom, who happened to be over dropping off Ollie as I tried stuff on, said “It’s not gray, it’s taupe and it’s a very versatile color!” Ok, sold! Verdict: KEPT
Le Sample Morada Embroidery Detail Top and Just Black Dolce Bootcut Jean:
This top is a little on the summery side, but you all know how much I love coral. I also love that it’s kind of peplum, but not overly so. I found two blazers in my closet this will go well with, so I think it can transition well to Fall and Winter just fine! Verdict: KEPT
As for the pants, I will tell you – I have pretty much always liked the pants that Stitch Fix has sent me, but the price tag usually gives me pause. Well, this time I think I’m going all in because these pants are amazing, they’re comfy and I can get away with wearing them to work. I decided they’re worth the splurge – not to mention, the bootcut/flair look is back in style. Verdict: KEPT
Moda Luxe Broadway Satchel:
Again, I think it’s no secret I am a bag fan. I have some Jewell by Thirty-One bags that are pretty much my favorites and “Holy Grail” bags right now and I wasn’t going to cheat on them, but then when I saw this was sent to me in cognac I had to give it a second look. It’s a nice soft vegan leather and it’s just the right size. And I don’t have a cognac colored bag that I love and it’s a color I actually really like. And since I pretty much decided I was keeping the entire box at this point anyway, I knew I had to keep this one too. So guess what – Verdict: KEPT.
Yes that’s right. I went from returning an entire box last month to keeping the entire box this month. I will tell you, this is a splurge, but other than getting my new iPhone soon, it’s kind of my last big splurge for now. I don’t know when I’ll schedule another box right now, but for now I’m excited about these fun new pieces and I look forward to styling them!
So what do you think? Did I choose well this time?
I LOVE everything in your box!! I can see why you kept it all!
Yay for fun, new and cute things! <3
Woohoo!!! This is so exciting! And seriously, the tops are great. I think the coral one is my fave – it looks like it’s very flattering on you and I love the color. Total score! 🙂
I love that cardigan! And I love that you do these reviews. They are so fun! I would have a hard time returning these too. That bag is fab!
Way to go!! I especially loved the tops and jeans, the sweater and bag is definitely where I pause and go through what I already have, but looks like you made great choices!
That’s awesome that you kept it all! I loved everything in this box. Especially that cardigan sweater with the elbow patches – that’s perfect for those colder cozier days.
Oh awesome, I’m glad you had such great luck with this fix and kept everything. I love it all too and think you made a good decision! Those jeans are fantastic on you, and I love the peplum top too. I haven’t done a fix in a while but I’ve really been itching to do one soon!
Great items this time!
