I’m Back!!

Hello!  I have returned from my blog vacation.  While my week away wasn’t necessarily relaxing and restful in my general day to day life, I do feel this last week off from blogging did me a ton of good.  I found I even missed blogging pretty much within the first couple of days off, so I knew the break was the right thing to do!

Some things I thought about on my time away are how to not end up in blog burnout or to get to a point where I’m blogging to more or less get a post out every day.  I think right now what I have decided might work best for me is to scale back from five days a week to four.  I will be taking Fridays off for right now.  This may or may not change based on future developments, but for now seems like a schedule I can easily maintain.

Other than that I enjoyed some days with our out of town family, a day at the State Fair and just a little time away from work during my blog break and that was all really nice.  I’ll have recaps of those things up very soon!  There are other possible exciting things going on in my world too that I can’t share about quite yet, but I hope to be able to soon.  I find it hard to believe that it’s September tomorrow.  This summer flew by as it always seems to do.  I have been loving summer so much but I do find myself ready for and looking forward to Fall – we can still do some of our favorite summer activities into the Fall and add new ones like apple orchard visits and Oktoberfest.  So I’m ready to move into that season I think!

So, that’s where we’re at.  I’m happy to be back, as I said, I missed this almost right away!  Onward and upward!

  1. Welcome back! I think taking Fridays off will be nice for you. Personally, I only blog once per week–I do my M-F posts on Sunday and schedule them. That makes me not "blog" for the week when I am busy which is nice.

  2. Welcome back and I'm impressed by even four posts a week. You gotta do what you gotta do. I too am looking forward to some of the fall activities.

  3. Glad you're back Beth and good to hear that you're feeling relaxed and refreshed! Scaling back on posting has been helpful for me so far, so I hope it works for you too. Can't wait to hear what's in store! 🙂

  4. As well-intentioned as it is for us to make plans (like committing to a daily post), we shouldn't let those plans imprison us. Modern life needs flexibility and some down-time. Glad you got that in your week off.
