100 Days of Happiness Beth

100 Days of Happiness

I’ve seen this around the internet a few times over the last couple of years – the 100 Days of Happiness challenge.  Basically the goal is to post a picture every day for 100 days of something that makes you happy.  The hope is that it will help you find happiness in something every day, even if things aren’t always going so great.

I’ve decided to do my own 100 Days of Happiness challenge.  This isn’t to say that I am unhappy at all.  In fact that couldn’t be further from the truth, I’m very happy in general.  But, I feel this summer there have been some very tough stories in the news and sometimes it easy to get drug down into muck and such.  I also thought it would help me in my continuing quest to live my mantra for the year of “let it go” on situations that have kind of caused me to stew in a not so great place.

So I’ll be posting to my Instagram (follow me there @thebethmn) something each day that makes me happy for the next 100 days.  Spread positive vibes.  Smile more.  I’ll definitely have some reflections on this as we go I’m sure.

Here’s today’s picture:

Nate set up a makeshift water table for Ollie on Saturday and he had a blast (it involved water, when doesn’t he have fun with that??) Nate took this picture and I can’t stop smiling at my little fish.  Love him so much. I’m guessing at least half of my pictures of happy things over the next 100 days will involve Ollie somehow!

What makes you happy? Have you done the 100 Days of Happiness challenge?  See more information at their website here.

  1. I LOVE this idea – sometimes I get so caught up in what's "going wrong" I forget about all the things going right and that make me happy!

  2. I think it's good to stop and find the small joys in our life – especially when we're in a good state because it allows us to have more gratitude. Can't wait for the snaps you share over the next 100 days!

  3. This is such an adorable picture Beth. And what a great idea too–Jona loves playing in the water, so we may have to try this. Love the 100 Days of Happiness idea too.
